Abstract

Komitmen karier mengacu pada sikap individu terhadap karier yang dimiliki, termasuk kesediaan dan antusiasme bekerja dalam kapasitas tertentu. Studi sebelumnya menunjukkan bahwa komitmen karier mengarah ke kinerja yang lebih baik, mengurangi tingkat pergantian pekerjaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi komitmen karier pada guru. Metode yang digunakan dalam  penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif deskriptif dan pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui skala komitmen karier. Responden penelitian merupakan 191 guru. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan teknik analisis statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar skor komitmen karier guru termasuk dalam kategori sangat tinggi dan tinggi. Hasil analisis lebih lanjut bahwa terkait jenis kelamin menunjukkan bahwa guru perempuan memiliki skor komitmen karier yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan guru laki-laki. Berdasarkan masa kerja menunjukkan bahwa guru dengan masa kerja lebih dari 20 tahun memiliki skor komitmen karier yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelompok guru dengan masa kerja lebih dari sepuluh tahun dan kurang dari sepuluh tahun.
