Post-Publication Discussion Policy

JDMP supports constructive scholarly discussion after publication. Readers may raise questions concerning methods, interpretation, reproducibility, attribution, ethical conduct, or other aspects of a published article.

How to submit a comment or concern

Correspondence should be sent through the journal's official editorial contact and should identify the article title, URL or DOI, the issue being raised, and evidence or reasoning supporting the comment. Submissions should be respectful, specific, and relevant to the scientific record.

Editorial handling

The editor assesses whether a contribution requires informal clarification, communication with authors, a formal scholarly response, a correction, or investigation under the journal's misconduct procedures. Where practicable, authors are invited to respond to substantive criticism. Editors may consult independent experts if a technical assessment is necessary.

When the discussion has an enduring bearing on the reliability or interpretation of the published record, JDMP may publish a linked comment, response, editorial note, correction, or other notice as appropriate. Comments containing harassment, defamatory assertions, irrelevant promotion, or disclosure of confidential information may be declined.

The journal aims to resolve concerns in a timely and proportionate manner. A post-publication discussion is not a substitute for an institutional investigation when primary research records or alleged misconduct require formal examination.
