Authorship Criteria and Contributions

JDMP recognises authorship as both scholarly credit and accountability. Individuals listed as authors must have made substantial intellectual contributions to the work and must be able to take responsibility for the accuracy and integrity of their contribution.

Authorship requirements

All authors should satisfy the following criteria:

  1. Make a substantial contribution to the study's conception or design, data acquisition, analysis, or interpretation.
  2. Participate in drafting the manuscript or critically revising its important intellectual content.
  3. Approve the final version submitted and any version accepted for publication.
  4. Agree to be accountable for the integrity of the work and cooperate in resolving questions about its accuracy.

Obtaining funding, providing general supervision, collecting data without a substantial scholarly contribution, or providing administrative assistance alone does not justify authorship. Contributors who do not qualify as authors may be acknowledged with their permission.

Author order and corresponding author

The author group must agree on the author order before submission. The corresponding author is responsible for communicating with the editorial office, obtaining all authors' approval, disclosing relevant information, and coordinating responses during review and after publication. All listed authors must be aware of and consent to the submission.

Changes in authorship

Requests to add, remove, or reorder authors after submission must include a reason and written agreement from all affected authors. The editor may request evidence of contributions and may decline unjustified changes. Authorship disputes should primarily be resolved by the relevant institutions; the journal may suspend processing until concerns are addressed.

AI tools

Generative artificial intelligence systems and other automated tools cannot be named as authors. Human authors remain responsible for all submitted content and must follow the journal's AI policy.
