Errata and Corrigenda

JRPD (Jurnal Review Pendidikan Dasar: Jurnal Kajian Pendidikan dan Hasil Penelitian) is committed to preserving the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of the scholarly record. All content published in the journal undergoes a comprehensive editorial and peer-review process under the direction of the Editorial Board.

Post-publication changes or additions to published articles are carefully managed to ensure scientific transparency and proper version control.

Changes and Additions to Published Articles

Should authors or editors identify necessary corrections or additions after an article has been accepted or published online, a formal request must be submitted to the Managing Editor. The proposed modifications will be reviewed according to the following criteria:

  • New Material Added: If authors wish to append substantial new findings, data, or theoretical extensions to an already published article, the new content must be submitted as a separate, new manuscript referencing the original paper.
  • Replacement or Correction of Content: If the modification involves correcting or replacing existing content within the published text, the Editorial Board may approve the publication of an Erratum or a Corrigendum.

Categories of Post-Publication Corrections

  1. Erratum (Publisher-Introduced Errors)

An Erratum refers to a correction of significant administrative, technical, typesetting, or production errors introduced to the article by the publisher during copyediting or layout processing.

  • All publisher-introduced changes are provided to the corresponding author during the proofreading stage.
  • Identified layout or text errors should ideally be corrected prior to final publication. If an error persists in the final published version, an official Erratum notice will be issued.
  1. Corrigendum (Author-Introduced Errors)

A Corrigendum refers to an important scientific, textual, or factual correction submitted by the authors to rectify errors introduced inadvertently during manuscript drafting or data preparation.

  • Authors wishing to publish a Corrigendum must contact the Editorial Office promptly.
  • The Editor-in-Chief and Managing Editor will evaluate the impact of the requested change on the article’s findings and scientific validity before determining the appropriate course of action.

Publication and Indexing Procedure

To maintain a clear and traceable academic record, all approved Errata and Corrigenda are handled as follows:

  1. Formal Correction Notice: A distinct notice titled "Erratum: [Article Title]" or "Corrigendum: [Article Title]" is published in the upcoming issue of the journal.
  2. Permanent DOI Assignment: The correction notice is assigned its own Digital Object Identifier (DOI) and indexed alongside regular articles.
  3. Bidirectional Linking: The correction notice is permanently and bidirectionally linked to the original article's landing page and PDF version.
