Authorship Criteria

International Authorship Standards

JRPD (Jurnal Review Pendidikan Dasar: Jurnal Kajian Pendidikan dan Hasil Penelitian) strictly adheres to international academic publishing standards regarding authorship. Credit for authorship should be based solely on substantial contributions to the research and manuscript preparation.

To qualify as an author, every listed individual must meet all four (4) of the following criteria:

  1. Substantial Contributions: Significant involvement in the conception, design, execution, data collection, or data interpretation of the study.
  2. Drafting and Intellectual Revision: Direct participation in drafting the manuscript or critically revising it for important intellectual content.
  3. Final Approval: Approval of the final manuscript version to be published.
  4. Accountability: Agreement to be held accountable for all aspects of the work, ensuring that questions related to the accuracy or integrity of any part of the paper are appropriately investigated and resolved.

Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Corresponding Author: The designated author responsible for managing all communication with the journal during submission, peer review, and publication processes. They must ensure that all co-authors have approved the final manuscript version and agree to the authorship sequence.
  2. Co-Authors: All individuals listed as co-authors must satisfy the four authorship criteria mentioned above.

Non-Author Contributions & Ghost/Gift Authorship

  1. Acknowledgements: Individuals who contributed to the study or manuscript preparation but do not meet all four authorship criteria (e.g., providing technical assistance, language proofreading, administrative support, or general supervision) should not be listed as authors.
  2. Prohibited Practices: JRPD strictly prohibits ghost authorship (omitting individuals who made significant contributions) and gift/honorary authorship (including individuals who made no substantial scientific contribution). Any violations will be handled in accordance with COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines.
