Correction and Retraction

JRPD (Jurnal Review Pendidikan Dasar: Jurnal Kajian Pendidikan dan Hasil Penelitian) is committed to maintaining the integrity, accuracy, and completeness of the scholarly record. On rare occasions, it may be necessary to correct, clarify, or retract published articles following publication.

  1. Amendments and Corrections
When minor or unintentional errors are identified in a published article that do not invalidate the overall findings, conclusions, or scientific integrity of the work, JRPD will publish an official correction notice linked directly to the original article:
  • Erratum / Publisher's Note: Published to correct significant administrative, technical, or production errors introduced by the journal during copyediting, typesetting, or publication.
  • Corrigendum / Author Correction: Published to correct significant scientific, textual, or data errors introduced inadvertently by the author(s).
All corrections are published as a formal notice in a subsequent issue, assigned a distinct DOI, and bidirectionally linked to the original article page.
  1. Article Retractions
Retractions are reserved for articles with serious flaws, scientific misconduct, or ethical violations that invalidate the main findings, conclusions, or originality of the published paper. JRPD follows the COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) Retraction Guidelines when evaluating and issuing retractions.
    Grounds for Retraction:
  • Clear evidence that the findings are unreliable due to major scientific errors, data fabrication, or data falsification.
  • Proven plagiarism, excessive text overlap, or redundant/duplicate publication without proper authorization.
  • Unethical research practices or undisclosed major conflicts of interest that severely bias the results.
  • Copyright infringement or legal issues surrounding the publication.
    Retraction Procedure:
  • Retraction Notice: A formal Retraction Notice titled "Retraction: [Article Title]" is published in the latest issue and indexed in relevant databases.
  • Original Article Status: To maintain the historical record, the original PDF article is retained on the journal website but marked prominently with a "RETRACTED" watermark on every page.
  • Transparency: The Retraction Notice clearly states the reason(s) for retraction and identifies who initiated the request (authors, editors, or institutions).
  1. Article Removal or Replacement
  • Removal: In extremely rare legal circumstances (e.g., severe defamation, court order, or grave health/safety risks), a published article may be removed entirely from the online platform, leaving a formal notice explaining the removal.
  • Replacement: If an article contains inaccurate data that poses a risk if relied upon, but the authors promptly provide corrected work, the Editorial Board may allow an updated replacement version alongside an explanatory statement.
