Authors should ensure that all information provided during submission is complete and accurate.
3. Language, Length, and Manuscript Format
Authors must prepare their manuscripts using the latest template and technical instructions available on JPEKA’s official website. The current submission checklist specifies single line spacing, 12-point font, and placement of illustrations, images, and tables within the body of the manuscript rather than at the end. Manuscripts should follow the journal template for page layout, headings, citations, references, and other formatting details.
The submission system accepts manuscript files in supported editable formats, including OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect, as stated in the current submission checklist. Authors should verify the latest template before submission because detailed formatting requirements may be revised by the journal.
Do not assume a fixed page limit, minimum number of Authors, abstract word count, keyword count, or reference count unless that requirement is explicitly stated in the current JPEKA template or official Author Guidelines.
4. Abstract, Keywords, and Article Structure
The abstract, keywords, article title, and manuscript sections should follow the requirements shown in the latest JPEKA template. The abstract should communicate the purpose of the study, the approach or methods, the main findings, and the principal conclusion in a concise and accurate form.
The structure of a research article should be appropriate to the study and consistent with the journal template. It commonly includes a title; author names and affiliations; abstract and keywords; introduction; research method; results and discussion; conclusion; acknowledgements where relevant; and references. Authors should retain any additional sections required by the current template and should not add or omit mandatory declarations without checking JPEKA’s instructions.
5. Introduction
The Introduction should establish the research context and explain why the issue matters to economics education or another relevant area within JPEKA’s scope. It should synthesize relevant literature, identify the research problem or gap, explain the contribution or novelty of the study, and state the study’s objectives or research questions clearly.
Authors should prioritize relevant and reliable scholarly sources and avoid lengthy textbook-style explanations or broad theoretical summaries that do not directly support the study’s rationale.
6. Research Method
The method section should provide sufficient information for readers to understand and evaluate the study and, where feasible, reproduce its procedures. As appropriate to the research design, Authors should report the design and setting, data sources or participants, sampling procedures, data collection methods, instruments, validity or reliability procedures, interventions, data analysis techniques, and relevant software or analytical tools.
Established methods need not be described at unnecessary length, but appropriate references should be provided when needed. Any research involving human participants, personal data, or other ethically sensitive subjects must follow applicable institutional and legal requirements. Where relevant, the manuscript should report ethical approval, institutional permission, informed consent, or an appropriate explanation where formal approval was not required.
7. Results and Discussion
Results and discussion should present and interpret the findings in a clear, coherent manner. Results may be supported by tables, figures, graphs, statistical analyses, qualitative evidence, or other materials appropriate to the study. The narrative should emphasize findings that directly address the research objectives rather than merely reproduce raw data.
The Discussion should explain the meaning and significance of the findings, relate them to relevant theories and previous studies, identify similarities or differences, address unexpected results where appropriate, and clarify the study’s scientific or practical contribution. Limitations should be acknowledged proportionately, and the implications for economics education, teaching, learning, business, entrepreneurship, administration, or finance education should be made clear where relevant.
8. Conclusion
The Conclusion should respond directly to the study objectives or research questions and highlight the principal findings and contribution. It should be concise and should not simply repeat the abstract or reproduce the Results and Discussion. Suggestions for future research may be included when they follow logically from the findings.
9. Tables, Figures, Equations, and Technical Elements
Tables, figures, photographs, charts, diagrams, and other visual elements must be relevant, legible, properly labelled, and referred to in the text. They should be placed within the manuscript body in accordance with the current submission checklist and template. Authors must ensure that images and other materials are of sufficient quality for publication and that any necessary permissions have been obtained.
Equations, symbols, units, abbreviations, decimal notation, and other technical details should follow the current JPEKA template and recognized disciplinary conventions. Every table, figure, equation, or numbered element should be referred to in the manuscript where appropriate.
10. Acknowledgements, Funding, and Declarations
Authors should acknowledge funding and other material support where relevant, including the funding organization and grant information when applicable. Individuals or institutions that contributed to the work but do not meet the criteria for authorship may be acknowledged where appropriate and with their permission if needed.
Authors must complete and submit the statements and forms required by JPEKA’s current submission process, including the signed Ethical Statement and Copyright Agreement. Any declarations concerning conflicts of interest, research ethics, data availability, author contributions, or the use of AI-assisted technologies should be included when required by the journal’s current template or policies. Authors must not make inaccurate declarations or omit mandatory forms.
11. Research Ethics, Privacy, and Identifiable Materials
Research involving human participants, animals, personal information, vulnerable groups, or other ethically sensitive material must comply with applicable ethical standards, institutional requirements, and relevant regulations. Authors are responsible for obtaining the necessary approvals, permissions, and consent before submission or publication where these are required.
Personal information and materials that could identify individuals, including photographs, videos, screenshots, or documents, must be handled with appropriate care. Where identification is not necessary for the scholarly purpose, identifying details should be anonymized or obscured without distorting the scientific meaning of the material.
12. Use of AI-Assisted Tools
Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, integrity, and ethical compliance of their manuscripts, including any content produced or assisted by AI tools. Authors should follow JPEKA’s current instructions regarding disclosure of AI-assisted tools and must verify factual claims, calculations, citations, references, and any other AI-assisted content before submission. AI systems must not be listed as Authors.
AI use must not result in fabricated data or references, plagiarism, misleading statements, undisclosed manipulation, or other forms of research or publication misconduct. The journal’s current policies and submission forms take precedence if they specify more detailed requirements.
13. References and Citation Practice
References must be accurate, relevant, traceable, and consistent with the citation style specified in JPEKA’s current template. Every source cited in the text should appear in the reference list, and each listed reference should be cited in the manuscript. Authors should verify bibliographic details and include a DOI or persistent URL when available and appropriate.
Authors must not include fabricated, unverifiable, misleading, irrelevant, or manipulated references. Reference managers may be used to organize citations, but Authors remain responsible for checking the accuracy and completeness of the final reference list.
14. Editorial Assessment and Peer Review
Submissions undergo an initial editorial assessment to determine whether they meet the journal’s basic writing and submission requirements and fit its focus and scope. Manuscripts that meet the initial requirements may proceed to anonymous peer review. JPEKA’s public About page states that manuscripts are typically evaluated by two or more reviewers and that the journal uses blind review. The final publication decision rests with the Editor or Editorial Board, taking reviewer recommendations and editorial assessment into account.
Authors should respond to revision requests clearly and respectfully and submit revised files within any deadline communicated by the Editorial Team. Acceptance is not guaranteed by submission, payment, a recommendation, or any third-party service.
15. Submission Checklist and Official Resources
