ARCHIVING AND REPOSITORY POLICY
JPEKA: Jurnal Pendidikan Ekonomi, Manajemen dan Keuangan recognizes the importance of maintaining the long-term accessibility, integrity, preservation, and dissemination of its published scholarly content. The journal makes its published issues available through its official Open Journal Systems (OJS) website and maintains an online archive of past issues. The policy below describes the journal’s current approach to electronic archiving and author self-archiving.
1. Electronic Archiving
The official published version of each article (Version of Record or VoR) is made available through the JPEKA website. Published articles and issue-level information can be accessed through the journal’s online archive:
JPEKA Archives: https://journal.unesa.ac.id/index.php/jpeka/issue/archive
The journal’s OJS platform serves as its primary online point of access for published content. The availability of articles through the website supports access to the scholarly record; however, the journal’s public information does not, by itself, confirm that separate backup arrangements or third-party long-term preservation services are in operation.
2. Digital Preservation and Continuity of Access
JPEKA aims to maintain the integrity and accessibility of its published content through the journal’s online publishing platform and archive. Digital preservation arrangements should be reviewed periodically to address potential data loss, technical disruption, changes in publishing infrastructure, and the continuing availability of published research.
Any use of additional backup facilities, institutional repositories, national deposit services, or third-party preservation networks should be publicly described once the relevant arrangements have been confirmed. Currently, JPEKA's journal archives are stored in Dropbox.
3. Author Self-Archiving and Repository Policy
JPEKA’s open-access information states that authors retain copyright and that the journal receives a license to publish the article as the first publisher. Authors who republish their work on other platforms are required to acknowledge JPEKA as the original source. Any self-archiving or subsequent sharing must therefore be consistent with the journal’s current copyright and licensing terms.
Authors should provide appropriate bibliographic details and, where available, a DOI or direct link to the article’s official JPEKA publication page when depositing or sharing an article. The deposited copy should preserve the integrity of the work and clearly identify the original publication in JPEKA.
The journal’s publicly available information does not clearly specify whether the Submitted Version (preprint), Accepted Manuscript, and Version of Record may each be deposited without an embargo in all repository types. Authors should consult the current copyright and licensing terms or contact the Editorial Team before depositing a version whose status is not explicitly covered by those terms. This policy should be updated if JPEKA formally establishes version-specific self-archiving permissions and embargo conditions.
4. Similarity Reports and Previously Archived Versions
A manuscript or article that has previously been made publicly available in a repository or on an academic platform may produce textual matches during a subsequent similarity check. Such matches should be assessed in context rather than treated automatically as evidence of plagiarism. The Editorial Team should consider the source, nature, extent, and distribution of the overlap, as well as whether the earlier version is properly identified and cited.
Authors are encouraged to inform the Editorial Team of any publicly accessible earlier version of their manuscript when relevant to the submission. The Editorial Team will assess similarity reports in accordance with JPEKA’s applicable originality and publication-ethics requirements.
