Focus and Scope

JPEKA: Jurnal Pendidikan Ekonomi, Manajemen dan Keuangan focuses on economics especially in economics education to improve the quality of education and innovative learning to improve the learning activities in economic education.

 

The scope of the discussion covers the study of research in economic education: Original theoretical and empirical studies dealing with the analysis and evaluation of teaching methods, learning attitudes, and interests, materials, or processes:

  • Substantive issues, new ideas, and research findings in economics may influence or can be used in the teaching of economics.
  • Development and innovations in pedagogy, media, materials, and methods for teaching economics. Issues involving the way economics is taught are emphasized.
  • Findings material in business that may influence or can be used to teaching business and entrepreneurship.
  • Substantive issues, technology, and findings that may influence or can be used in teaching administration education.
  • Innovations, issues, materials, and findings that may influence or can be used to teaching finance education

Manuscripts typically will be evaluated by two or more reviewers. Pertinent comments will be brought to the author's attention, but manuscripts will not be returned. Submissions should be clear and concise. Authors should keep in mind that our readers are economists and educators with diverse preparation in economics, statistics, and educational theory. Upon acceptance of a manuscript, authors will receive instructions about submitting a disk. Following the publication of articles in the journal, and as a condition of that publication, authors will be expected to make their data available to those who request it from them.

 

Peer Review Policy: Papers published in this journal have undergone editor review and peer review.

Peer Review Process

  1. The submitted manuscript will be selected by the editorial board;
  2. Manuscripts that meet the standard of proofreading will be forwarded to the reviewer whereas the manuscript that does not meet the standard writing criteria will be returned to the author without a review from the reviewer;
  3. The reviewed manuscript will be returned to the author if required. The author will be asked to re-submit the revision manuscript in accordance with the input and assessment of the reviewer and will be reviewed again;
  4. The manuscript will be reviewed anonymously (Blind Reviews), the result will be separated into criteria: accepted; rejected; or received with revision;
  5. The published article will be decided by the editor of the editorial board based on recommendations from reviewers and the forum board of editors.
  6. To prevent plagiarism, all incoming articles will be checked for authenticity using Turnitin anti-plagiarism software or iThenticate.

Publication Frequency

Published 2 times a year in 10-12 articles, in May and November

Open Access Policy

The Open Access Jurnal Pendidikan Ekonomi, Manajemen dan Keuangan (JPEKA) allows authors to retain their copyright and restricts reuse to educational purposes. Its copyright policy is:

The author keeps the copyright.
The journal asks only for a license to publish the article as the first publisher.
The author is obliged to mention JPEKA as a source whenever the author later republishes the article on other platforms.

Plagiarism Checking

JPEKA only accepts articles with plagiarism rates with a maximum level of 25%. The process is carried out by the editor with Turnitin software.

Journal History

  1. JPEKA (Jurnal Pendidikan Ekonomi, Manajemen dan Keuangan) Since 2017 published twice a year by Open Journal System to accommodate various research offers original articles on teaching economics.
  2. JPEKA is publishing quarterly in cooperation with Aspropendo (Asosiasi Pendidik Ekonomi Indonesia) leading scholars to evaluate innovations in teaching techniques, materials, and programs.
  3. Instructors of introductory through graduate-level economics will find the journal an indispensable resource for content and pedagogy in a variety of media.
  4. JPEKA made changes to the template for the November 2022 issue.
  5. JPEKA again revised the template for the May 2023 issue
