DATA AVAILABILITY AND REPRODUCIBILITY POLICY

JPEKA: Jurnal Pendidikan Ekonomi, Manajemen dan Keuangan supports transparency, research integrity, and the reproducibility of scholarly work. Authors are expected to report research data and analyses accurately and to make the supporting data available when reasonably requested, subject to applicable ethical, legal, privacy, confidentiality, and institutional requirements.

Data Availability

Authors should clearly describe the availability of the data supporting the findings reported in their manuscripts. Where a Data Availability Statement is required by the journal or included in the manuscript, it should accurately indicate whether the data are:

  • publicly accessible through a repository or another appropriate source;
  • available from the Authors upon reasonable request; or
  • subject to ethical, legal, privacy, confidentiality, or institutional restrictions.

The statement must reflect the actual status of the research data and identify any conditions governing access. If the data cannot be made publicly available, Authors should explain the applicable restrictions without disclosing confidential or sensitive information. Any sharing of data must be consistent with participant consent, relevant ethical requirements, data-protection obligations, and institutional policies.

Author Responsibilities and Reproducibility

Authors are responsible for the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of the research data, methods, and analyses presented in their manuscripts. They should report their research procedures and analytical methods with sufficient clarity to enable readers to understand the basis of the findings and, where appropriate, allow other researchers to verify or reproduce the work.

Authors should retain appropriate records of the data and analyses that support their published work. Where appropriate and ethically permissible, the Editorial Team may request access to relevant data or supporting materials for editorial assessment, verification, correction, or the investigation of a research-integrity concern. Authors are expected to cooperate with reasonable requests while observing applicable ethical, legal, privacy, confidentiality, and institutional requirements.

The sharing of supporting data is intended to facilitate the assessment and verification of published findings and to promote responsible reproducibility. It does not override the obligation to protect research participants, confidential information, or data subject to legitimate access restrictions.

Author Declaration

Authors must ensure that any statement concerning data availability accurately reflects the actual availability of the research data and the conditions under which access may be granted. Authors are also responsible for ensuring that the data and analyses reported in the manuscript are presented honestly and accurately and that they have the authority to submit the work for publication.

Where JPEKA introduces a specific Data Availability Statement field in its manuscript template or an equivalent author declaration, Authors should complete it in accordance with the journal's current instructions. The existence and wording of any such mandatory field or declaration should be confirmed by the Editorial Team before this policy is adopted as an official journal requirement.

Editorial Note

Draft for editorial review. This document has been adapted to JPEKA's stated expectation that Authors make research data available upon request after publication. It does not assume that JPEKA currently requires a specific manuscript-template field or a document entitled “Statement of Manuscript Authenticity”; such requirements should be adopted only after editorial confirmation.
