Retraction and Correction Policy
Author Guidelines
Authors are invited to submit original and unpublished manuscripts not under review elsewhere. Manuscripts should be scholarly, analytical, and relevant to the political aspects of Islam in contemporary or historical contexts.
Manuscript Length and Format:
- Manuscripts should be written in English or Bahasa Indonesia and should be between 6,000 and 8,000 words, including footnotes and references.
- Use 1.5 spacing, 12 pt Times New Roman font, on A4-size paper with 2.5 cm margins on all sides.
- Submit in Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx) format.
- Use APA 7th Edition for citation style. Using a reference manager such as Zotero or Mendeley is highly recommended.
Manuscript Structure
Submissions must include the following components in order:
- Title
- Concise and informative; reflects the core argument or scope of study.
- 14 pt bold, center-aligned, maximum 16 words.
- Author Information
- Full name(s) without academic titles (e.g., Prof.., Dr.)
- Institutional affiliation(s)
- Email address (corresponding author marked with an asterisk * if applicable)
- Abstract
- 200–250 words
- Written in English
- Clearly state the background, purpose, methods, results, and conclusion.
- Keywords
- 4–6 keywords, separated by semicolons ;
- Reflecting the topic and indexing relevance
- Introduction
- Contextual background, literature review, research gap, and clearly stated objectives
- Theoretical Framework & Methodology
- Detailed analytical frameworks, research methods, sources of data, and scope of study
- Findings and Discussion
- Critical analysis related to the study’s objectives; comparative perspectives encouraged
- Must include engagement with recent scholarship and debates
- Conclusion
- Summary of key findings, theoretical implications, and potential areas for future research
- References
- Alphabetically listed
- Only include sources cited in the manuscript
- Follow APA 7th style

In-text citation examples:
- One author (Nasr, 2015, p. 102)

Tables and Figures
- Numbered sequentially (e.g., Table 1, Figure 2), must be referred in the text.
- Captions above tables and below figures, 10 pt bold.
- Figures should be high-resolution (min. 300 dpi), in PNG or JPG format.
- Avoid vertical lines in tables.
Ethical Guidelines
- The manuscript must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere.
- All authors must have significantly contributed to the manuscript.
- Plagiarism (including self-plagiarism) will result in immediate rejection.
- All research involving human subjects must adhere to ethical guidelines and state ethical clearance when applicable.
Review and Publication Process
- All manuscripts undergo double-blind peer review by at least two reviewers.
- Editorial decisions (acceptance, minor/major revisions, or rejection) will be communicated within 8–12 weeks.
- Authors are expected to return revised manuscripts within 30 days
