ABOUT THE JOURNAL OF POLITICAL ISLAM
Journal of Political Islam (JOPI) is an academic journal published three times yearly (June, September, and December) by the Department of Political Science, Faculty of Social and Political Science, Universitas Negeri Surabaya. This journal emphasizes the specifications of political practice and discourse from the individual, organizational, or government regarding Islamic Studies. This journal openly accepts the contributions of experts from related disciplines. Not all published articles represent the views of journals or other institutions with links to journal publications.
FOCUS AND SCOPE
The Journal of Political Islam (JOPI) focuses on the dynamic relationship between Islamic thought and political theory. The journal explores various topics, including political ideology, governance, policy-making, social movements, political identity, democracy, human rights, political stability, development, and the balance between the historical values of global Muslim politics. It also addresses political conflicts in Muslim-majority and Muslim-minority contexts, emphasizing sustainability within the contemporary political landscape. Thematic areas include:
