Authorship Criteria and Contributions

JP (Jurnal Pendidikan): Teori dan Praktik recognizes authorship as an important form of academic credit and responsibility. Authorship must accurately reflect the intellectual contributions made to a scholarly manuscript.

1. Criteria for Authorship

Individuals listed as authors must meet all the following criteria:

  1. Have made substantial contributions to the conception, design, execution, data collection, analysis, or interpretation of the research.

  2. Have participated in drafting the manuscript or critically revising its important intellectual content.

  3. Have reviewed and approved the final version of the manuscript and agreed to its submission for publication.

All authors must be willing to take appropriate responsibility for their contributions and cooperate in resolving questions concerning the accuracy or integrity of the published work.

2. Author Contributions

Authors are encouraged to describe their individual contributions transparently. Contributions may include conceptualization, methodology, investigation, formal analysis, data curation, writing, review and editing, supervision, or project administration.

Contributorship statements should accurately represent the work performed by each author.

3. Corresponding Author Responsibilities

The corresponding author is responsible for communicating with the journal throughout submission, peer review, publication, and relevant post-publication processes.

The corresponding author must ensure that all listed authors meet the authorship criteria, approve the submitted manuscript, and are informed of significant editorial decisions.

4. Acknowledgment of Contributors

Individuals who provide technical assistance, administrative support, language editing, funding acquisition, or other contributions without meeting the authorship criteria should be acknowledged appropriately rather than listed as authors.

Acknowledgments should be made with the permission of the individuals concerned.

5. Changes in Authorship

Requests to add, remove, or rearrange authors after submission must be supported by a clear explanation and agreement from all affected authors.

The editorial team may request written confirmation before approving changes to the author list.

Changes after publication will be considered only when justified and will be documented through an appropriate editorial procedure.

6. Unacceptable Authorship Practices

Gift authorship, honorary authorship, ghost authorship, and the deliberate exclusion of eligible contributors are unacceptable.

Individuals must not be included as authors solely because of their institutional position, administrative authority, or general supervision.

Artificial intelligence systems cannot be recognized as authors.

7. Authorship Disputes

Authorship disputes should first be addressed among the contributors or through their institutions.

When necessary, the journal may request documentary evidence and may suspend editorial consideration until significant disputes are appropriately addressed.

The editorial team will follow applicable publication ethics principles when evaluating authorship concerns.
