Author Guideline

1. General Requirements

JP (Jurnal Pendidikan): Teori dan Praktik welcomes original scholarly contributions in education that are consistent with the journal's focus and scope.

Authors must ensure that submitted manuscripts have not been previously published and are not simultaneously under consideration by another journal.

Manuscripts must demonstrate academic originality, conceptual clarity, sound methodology or analysis, and a meaningful contribution to educational research, policy, or practice.

2. Manuscript Language and Format

Manuscripts should be written in clear academic English.

Authors are required to follow the latest official manuscript template and formatting instructions provided by the journal.

The submission system accepts manuscripts in compatible editable document formats, including Microsoft Word.

Authors should maintain consistency in terminology, spelling, headings, tables, figures, citations, and references.

The manuscript should be carefully proofread before submission.

3. Manuscript Structure

Original research articles should normally contain the following sections:

Title and Author Information

The title should clearly and concisely represent the content of the manuscript. Authors must provide their names, institutional affiliations, and corresponding author information.

Abstract and Keywords

The abstract should summarize the research background or purpose, methods, principal findings, and main conclusions. Keywords should accurately reflect the manuscript's subject matter.

Introduction

The introduction should describe the research problem, relevant scholarly background, research gap, objectives, and significance of the study.

Methods

The methods section should explain the research design, participants or data sources, instruments, data collection procedures, analytical techniques, and relevant ethical considerations.

Results

Results should present the principal findings clearly, using tables or figures where appropriate.

Discussion

The discussion should interpret the findings, relate them to relevant scholarship, explain their contributions, and acknowledge important limitations.

Conclusion

The conclusion should summarize the principal contribution and its implications without merely repeating earlier sections.

References

The reference list must include the sources cited in the manuscript and follow the reference style specified in the official journal template.

Review and conceptual articles may use a different structure where justified by their methodology and scholarly purpose.

4. References and Citations

Authors must accurately cite all sources used in developing the manuscript.

Relevant and recent scholarly literature should be prioritized where appropriate, while foundational sources may be included when essential.

Authors are encouraged to use reference management software, such as Zotero, Mendeley, or EndNote, to maintain consistency.

All references must be verified. Fabricated, misleading, or unverifiable citations are unacceptable.

5. Tables, Figures, and Supplementary Materials

Tables and figures must be clearly numbered, appropriately titled, and referred to in the manuscript.

Authors must acknowledge the sources of reproduced or adapted materials and obtain copyright permissions where required.

Supplementary materials may be requested where necessary to support the transparency and evaluation of the research.

6. Research Ethics

Research involving human participants must comply with applicable ethical standards and institutional requirements.

Where appropriate, manuscripts should state whether ethical approval or an exemption was obtained and explain how informed consent, confidentiality, and participant privacy were addressed.

Authors are responsible for reporting research procedures and findings accurately and must not fabricate, falsify, or manipulate research evidence.

7. Authorship and Conflicts of Interest

All listed authors must have made meaningful intellectual contributions to the work and must approve the final manuscript before submission.

Individuals who do not meet the journal's authorship criteria should be acknowledged appropriately rather than included as authors.

Authors must disclose relevant financial and nonfinancial conflicts of interest, as well as sources of research funding where applicable.

8. Use of Artificial Intelligence

Artificial intelligence tools must not be listed as authors.

Authors remain fully responsible for the originality, accuracy, integrity, and ethical compliance of their manuscripts.

Any substantive use of generative AI tools in preparing a manuscript should be disclosed transparently, identifying the tool and the purpose of its use.

AI-generated material must be carefully verified. The use of AI to fabricate data, produce false references, misrepresent research findings, or conceal plagiarism is prohibited.

9. Submission and Peer Review

Manuscripts must be submitted through the journal's online submission system:

The editorial team will conduct an initial assessment of the manuscript's relevance, originality, completeness, and compliance with journal policies.

Manuscripts considered suitable for further evaluation will undergo a blind peer-review process involving at least two qualified reviewers.

The editorial decision may include acceptance, minor revision, major revision, or rejection.

Authors receiving revision requests must respond carefully to the reviewers' and editors' comments and submit the revised manuscript within the specified deadline. The journal's existing policy provides a revision period of up to eight weeks following notification.

10. Publication Fees and Copyright

Authors should consult the journal's current Author Fee policy before submission.

Accepted articles are published as open-access scholarly works under the journal's applicable copyright and licensing policies.

11. Author Responsibilities

By submitting a manuscript, authors confirm that the work is original, appropriately documented, ethically conducted, and approved by all listed authors.

Authors are expected to cooperate with editorial inquiries, respond to legitimate research integrity concerns, and promptly report significant errors discovered after publication.

Failure to comply with the journal's ethical and editorial requirements may result in manuscript return, rejection, or appropriate post-publication action.
