Publication Ethics

The Journal of Social Philanthropy and Halal Research (JSPHR) is committed to maintaining high standards of publication ethics and preventing publication malpractice. This statement is based on internationally recognized publishing guidelines and ethical standards for scholarly publishing. All parties involved in the publication process—editors, reviewers, authors, and the publisher—are expected to adhere to these ethical principles.

Duties of Editors

Editors are responsible for making publication decisions based on the scholarly merit of the manuscript. Editors evaluate manuscripts without discrimination based on race, gender, religious belief, citizenship, or political philosophy. Editors must ensure that all submitted manuscripts are evaluated fairly through a peer-review process and must maintain the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and reviewer identities. Editors should avoid conflicts of interest and ensure the integrity of the academic record.

Duties of Reviewers

Reviewers assist editors in making editorial decisions and help authors improve the quality of their manuscripts. Reviewers should conduct reviews objectively and provide constructive feedback. They must maintain confidentiality regarding the manuscripts they review and should not use unpublished information for personal advantage. Reviewers should decline the review process if they have conflicts of interest related to the manuscript.

Duties of Authors

Authors must present their research findings honestly and clearly without fabrication, falsification, or inappropriate data manipulation. Manuscripts submitted to JSPHR must be original works that have not been published elsewhere and are not under consideration by another journal. Proper acknowledgment of the work of others must always be given. Authors should also disclose any potential conflicts of interest that may influence the research or interpretation of the findings.

Plagiarism Policy

JSPHR strictly prohibits plagiarism in any form. All submitted manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection tools. Manuscripts found to contain plagiarism or significant similarity with previously published works will be rejected.

Publisher Responsibilities

The publisher, Universitas Negeri Surabaya (UNESA), supports the editorial team in maintaining academic integrity and ethical publishing standards. The publisher is committed to ensuring that editorial decisions are independent and free from commercial or external influence.

Through these ethical guidelines, Journal of Social Philanthropy and Halal Research (JSPHR) strives to uphold transparency, integrity, and credibility in academic publishing.
