Plagiarism Screening

The Journal of Social Philanthropy and Halal Research (JSPHR) is committed to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity and publication ethics. All manuscripts submitted to the journal are subject to plagiarism screening as part of the editorial review process.

AJHI uses plagiarism detection software to examine the similarity of submitted manuscripts against previously published literature and online sources. The similarity report is evaluated by the editorial team to determine whether any overlap represents appropriate citation or potential plagiarism.

Manuscripts found to contain plagiarism, redundant publication, or improper citation will be rejected. In cases where moderate similarity is detected, authors may be asked to revise the manuscript and properly cite the relevant sources before the manuscript proceeds to peer review.

The journal considers a similarity index generally not exceeding 20% as acceptable, excluding references, properly quoted text, and commonly used phrases. However, editorial decisions are not based solely on similarity percentages but also on the nature and context of the overlapping text.

AJHI strictly prohibits the following forms of academic misconduct:

  • Plagiarism: presenting another author’s work, ideas, or words without proper attribution

  • Self-plagiarism or redundant publication: submitting substantially similar content that has been previously published

  • Data fabrication or falsification: manipulating or inventing research data or results

If plagiarism or ethical misconduct is identified before publication, the manuscript will be rejected. If discovered after publication, the journal may issue corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions in accordance with international publication ethics standards.

AJHI follows internationally recognized guidelines on research integrity and publication ethics to ensure that all published works maintain the highest standards of scholarly quality.
