Abstrak

This study aims to analyze the impact of self-efficacy on innovative behavior and the moderating role of organizational support on self-efficacy and innovative behavior. This study uses an explanatory research type. Collecting data using a questionnaire via a google form. The respondents of this study were 149 lecturers of private universities in Surabaya. Sampling using a purposive sampling technique. Data analysis using Partial Least Square (PLS) software. The results showed that self-efficacy had a positive and significant effect on the innovative behavior of lecturers. Direct organizational support has a positive and insignificant effect on innovative behavior. However, organizational support strengthens self-efficacy toward the innovative behavior of private university lecturers in Surabaya. The results of the study are in accordance with the theory of social exchange. The implication of this research is that faculty support given to lecturers will make them improve their self-efficacy and strengthen their innovative behavior to produce their best performance.
