Editorial independence
All decisions on manuscripts are made by the editors on the basis of peer review and the journal's policies. They are not influenced by the publisher, the faculty, funders, or the authors' institutional affiliation. Manuscripts by members of the editorial team follow the procedure described in the Conflict of Interest policy.
Funding and revenue sources
JIEET is fully funded by Universitas Negeri Surabaya through the Department of Informatics, Faculty of Engineering. The journal charges no submission or publication fees, carries no advertising, and receives no income from authors or readers. Funding does not influence editorial decisions.
Advertising and direct marketing
JIEET does not accept advertising. Calls for papers are distributed through the journal website, academic mailing lists, and social media; these messages are accurate, are sent only from official journal channels, and never promise acceptance or a fixed publication date.
Editorial meetings and policy review
The editorial team meets at least once before each issue to review the submission pipeline, reviewer performance, and the publication schedule. All journal policies are reviewed at least once a year and updated when needed; the date of the last revision is shown at the bottom of each policy page.
