All JIEET processes, from submission to publication, are handled electronically through Open Journal Systems (OJS) 3.3, and all published content is archived in multiple digital locations to guarantee long-term access.

Electronic submission and workflow

  • Manuscripts are submitted only through the JIEET online submission system. Submissions by e-mail are not accepted.
  • Every step (submission, review, revision, copyediting, production, and publication) is recorded in OJS, creating a complete audit trail for each manuscript.
  • Review forms, reviewer comments, editorial decisions, and author correspondence are stored in the system and kept for at least [5] years after the decision.

Digital preservation and archiving

JIEET uses the following systems to preserve published articles in case the journal stops publishing or its website becomes unavailable:

  • LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) via the OJS LOCKSS plugin, which creates a distributed archive among participating libraries.
  • PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), which preserves content in a dark archive for OJS journals.
  • GARUDA (Garba Rujukan Digital) by the Indonesian Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology.
  • Universitas Negeri Surabaya institutional repository [add link].
  • Crossref metadata deposit for every article with a DOI.

Authors may also deposit the published version of their article in institutional or subject repositories under the terms of the article's license (see Copyright).

[Editor: activate the LOCKSS and PKP PN plugins in OJS (Settings → Distribution → Archiving) before claiming them on this page.]
