Plagiarism Policy
Plagiarism Policy
Anti-Plagiarism Standards & Screening Procedures
Statement of Principle
The International Journal of Chinese Interdisciplinary Studies (IJCIS) maintains a zero-tolerance policy regarding plagiarism. We uphold the highest standards of academic integrity and expect all contributing authors to submit work that is entirely original and properly attributed.
Screening Procedures
All submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous screening process before being sent for peer review:
- Initial Assessment: Every manuscript is screened for plagiarism using the Turnitin detection software.
- Similarity Threshold: Manuscripts must demonstrate a similarity index of less than 20%. This percentage excludes the bibliography/references section.
- Self-Plagiarism: IJCIS also screens for "text recycling" or self-plagiarism, where authors reuse significant portions of their own previously published work without proper citation.
Major Violations
Direct copying of text, data, or ideas from other sources without attribution, and the submission of manuscripts under multiple titles to different journals (redundant publication).
Sanctions
Manuscripts found to violate these policies will be immediately rejected. In severe cases, the journal reserves the right to ban authors from future submissions.
Reporting Misconduct
If any reader or reviewer suspects plagiarism in a published or submitted article, please notify the Editorial Office immediately at bahasamandarin@unesa.ac.id. All reports will be investigated confidentially and thoroughly.
