The cultivation of responsibility values in children is not often the main focus for parents. Whereas, the responsibility plays an important role for the development of self esteem, self-identity, and children well-being. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of prompting and fading techniques to develop responsibility in school-aged children starting from the simple behavior that is, putting objects that have been used in appropiate places. This study was conducted on a 7 years old child in second grade elementary school, using single case A-B design and implemented in 8 sessions. The results show that the application of behavior modification program with prompting and fading techniques can develop responsibility in a 7-years old child primarily in the case of putting an object in its place after using it.
