Pengaruh digital leadership terhadap keberhasilan implementasi rekam medis elektronik dan dampaknya terhadap efektivitas pelayanan pada rumah sakit swasta di Provinsi Jawa Barat

Digital transformation in healthcare has encouraged hospitals to adopt information technology to improve service effectiveness. One key initiative is the implementation of Electronic Medical Records (EMR), whose success is associated with leadership capabilities in managing digital transformation and organizational change. This study aims to analyze the relationship between digital leadership, EMR implementation success, and perceived hospital service effectiveness in private hospitals in West Java Province. This study employed a quantitative explanatory approach. Data were collected through questionnaires from 150 EMR users and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with SmartPLS. The results show that digital leadership has a positive and significant association with EMR implementation success (β = 0.780, p < 0.001). EMR implementation success is also positively and significantly associated with perceived hospital service effectiveness (β = 0.393, p < 0.001), while digital leadership has a positive and significant direct association with perceived service effectiveness (β = 0.489, p < 0.001). Furthermore, the indirect effect of digital leadership on perceived service effectiveness through EMR implementation success is positive and significant (β = 0.306, p < 0.001), indicating complementary partial mediation. These findings suggest that effective digital leadership contributes to successful EMR implementation and improved perceived hospital service effectiveness. The study is limited by its cross-sectional design, single-source perception-based data, and focus on private hospitals in West Java Province. Future research should consider longitudinal designs, multiple data sources, objective service indicators, organizational readiness, digital culture, and system quality.
