Publication Ethics and Malpractice Policy
New Language Dimensions implements a double-blind peer review process to ensure fairness, transparency, and scholarly integrity. All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial screening to assess relevance, completeness, and adherence to the journal’s guidelines. Prior to review, each manuscript is checked using similarity check machine, e.g. Turnitin, to verify that it is free from plagiarism; manuscripts indicating plagiarism or unethical practices are immediately rejected, and authors are notified of the grounds for rejection.
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are sent to two independent reviewers with expertise in the relevant field. Both author and reviewer identities remain concealed throughout the process. Reviewers provide written evaluations and recommendations (accept, minor revision, major revision, or reject), which inform the editorial board’s final decision. Decisions on rejected manuscripts are final, and no correspondence regarding the decision will be entered into.
Authors may be requested to revise their manuscripts based on reviewer feedback. The editorial team may also recommend professional proofreading to ensure linguistic clarity and academic precision. Failure to comply with these suggestions may result in the manuscript’s decline from publication. This review framework upholds the journal’s commitment to quality, ethical practice, and global scholarly contribution.
