Utilization Leachate of Liquid Organic Fertilizer for Growth of Rice (Oryza sativa)

Abstract

Kitchen waste that is thrown away causes a problem, a pungent odor and is not suitable for viewing. Utilization off vegetable waste from domestic activities can be used as liquid organic fertilizer. This purpose of this research were to know the use of leachate from vegetable waste as liquid organic fertilizer for growth of rice. This research used Randomized Block Design (RBD) and there are five treatment and five repetitions heance overall there were 25 units of experiment. That was concentration of liquid organic fertilizer P0 (0 mL/liter of water), P1 (10 mL/liter of water), P2 (20 mL/liter of water), P3 (30 mL/liter of water), P4 (40 mL/liter of water). Parameters observed were the plant height, the fresh weight, and the number of rice plant. The data that obtained were analyzed using one-way ANOVA and continued wih Duncan test . the result of N, P, and K of liquid organic fertilizer in a row is 0,26% (medium), 0,14% (low), 0,13% (low) and application of liquid organic fertilizer make a significantly affect plant growth of rice. The most optimal rice growth result are at the treatment concentration is P4, which is 40 mL/liter of water.
