Post Publication Discussion

JP2KG AUD is committed to promoting ongoing scholarly discussion, transparency, and the integrity of the scientific record. The journal recognizes that post-publication discussion is an important part of scholarly communication, allowing researchers, practitioners, and readers to critically examine published findings, clarify interpretations, and contribute to the advancement of knowledge in early childhood education, parenting, health, and nutrition.

JP2KG AUD welcomes constructive, evidence-based feedback on published articles and is committed to addressing concerns in a fair, transparent, and timely manner.

1. Scope of Post-Publication Discussion

Post-publication discussion may address issues including, but not limited to:

·       The validity, reliability, and interpretation of published findings.

·       Research methodology, data analysis, and reporting.

·       Theoretical contributions and implications for early childhood education and practice.

·       Ethical concerns regarding research involving children, families, educators, or other participants.

·       Errors, omissions, inconsistencies, or inaccuracies identified after publication.

·       The relevance of published findings to subsequent research, professional practice, or policy development.

Comments and discussions must be relevant to the published article and contribute constructively to scholarly understanding.

2. Submission of Post-Publication Comments

Readers and researchers who wish to comment on a published article may contact the JP2KG AUD editorial office through the contact information provided on the journal's official website.

Submissions should:

1.     Identify the published article by its title, authors, publication year, and DOI or article URL, where available.

2.     Clearly explain the issue, observation, criticism, or question being raised.

3.     Provide supporting evidence, references, data, or methodological reasoning where appropriate.

4.     Use respectful, professional, and constructive language.

5.     Disclose relevant conflicts of interest.

Comments should focus on the scholarly content of the publication rather than personal criticism of the authors.

3. Editorial Assessment

The editorial team will assess submitted comments to determine their relevance, scholarly value, evidentiary basis, and compliance with the journal's ethical standards.

The journal may:

·       Publish the comment as a formal post-publication discussion, subject to editorial approval.

·       Invite the original authors to provide a response.

·       Request revisions or additional supporting information from the commenter.

·       Refer substantive methodological or ethical concerns for further assessment.

·       Decline comments that are unsupported, irrelevant, defamatory, abusive, or inconsistent with the journal's editorial policies.

Editorial assessment will be conducted fairly and independently. The decision to publish a comment will be based on its scholarly merit and relevance rather than whether it supports or challenges the original article.

4. Right of Reply

When a post-publication comment raises substantive concerns about a published article, JP2KG AUD may invite the original authors to provide a response.

Authors should address the issues raised with evidence-based explanations and professional language. Responses may clarify the research methods, provide additional context, acknowledge limitations, or correct misunderstandings.

Where appropriate, the comment and the authors' response may be published together or linked to the original article to support balanced scholarly discussion.

The original authors will be given a reasonable opportunity to respond. However, the journal may proceed with an appropriate editorial action when necessary to protect the integrity of the scholarly record, even if a response is not received.

5. Corrections and Post-Publication Updates

If an error is identified in a published article, JP2KG AUD will assess its nature and significance.

Minor errors that do not materially affect the interpretation or reliability of the article may be addressed through a correction notice. More substantial errors may require additional editorial review and an appropriate publication update.

Corrections should clearly identify the affected article and explain what has been amended. The original publication record should remain transparent, with appropriate links between the article and the correction.

6. Expressions of Concern and Retractions

If credible concerns arise regarding the validity, reliability, or ethical integrity of a published article, JP2KG AUD will investigate the matter in accordance with its publication ethics procedures.

Depending on the findings, the journal may issue an expression of concern, publish a correction, or retract the article when warranted.

Retractions may be considered in cases involving serious research misconduct, unreliable findings, major errors that invalidate the conclusions, unethical research practices, or other circumstances that substantially compromise the integrity of the publication.

Any such action will be accompanied by an appropriate notice explaining the reason for the editorial decision, subject to applicable confidentiality and legal requirements.

7. Ethical Standards for Post-Publication Discussion

All participants in post-publication discussion must uphold the principles of academic integrity, fairness, confidentiality, and respect.

Comments must not contain personal attacks, harassment, discriminatory language, unsupported allegations, or confidential information about research participants.

Individuals raising concerns should provide verifiable evidence whenever possible. The journal will distinguish between legitimate scholarly disagreement, honest error, and potential research or publication misconduct.

For research involving young children, particular care must be taken not to disclose identifiable information about children, families, teachers, or educational institutions without appropriate authorization.

8. Transparency and Editorial Independence

JP2KG AUD will manage post-publication discussions independently and consistently with its publication ethics policies.

The journal will not suppress legitimate scholarly criticism solely because it challenges the conclusions of a published article. Similarly, criticism will not be accepted automatically without appropriate assessment.

Editorial decisions concerning post-publication discussion will prioritize scholarly relevance, evidentiary support, fairness to the parties involved, and the accuracy of the scientific record.

9. Contact and Submission Procedure

Readers, researchers, and other interested parties may submit post-publication comments or report concerns about published articles by contacting the JP2KG AUD editorial office through the journal's official website.
