Estimated Manuscript Processing Timeline
The Journal of Sustainable Science and Educational Innovation (JSSEI) follows a structured editorial workflow consisting of Submission, Initial Check, Peer Review, Final Check, Editing & Proofreading, and Publication. Each stage serves a specific editorial purpose, and manuscripts proceed to subsequent stages according to the outcome of the evaluation at each stage.

The estimated processing time may vary depending on the quality and readiness of the manuscript, Reviewer availability, the complexity of revisions, and the promptness of Authors in responding to editorial decisions and submitting revised manuscripts.
| Editorial Stage | Estimated Processing Time | Estimated Cumulative Time |
|---|---|---|
| Initial Check by Editor | 1–7 days | 1–7 days |
| Peer Review Process | 2–6 weeks | 3–8 weeks |
| Final Check by Editor | 1–2 weeks | 4–10 weeks |
| Copyediting, Layout Editing, and Proofreading | 1–2 weeks | 6–12 weeks |
Note: The processing times above are estimates and do not constitute a guarantee for any individual manuscript. Actual processing may take longer depending on manuscript quality, Reviewer availability and feedback, the number and complexity of revisions, and the promptness of Authors during the revision process. Cumulative time is calculated from the date of manuscript submission.
Manuscript Processing Statistics
In addition to the estimated editorial timeline, JSSEI may provide manuscript processing statistics as supplementary information for Authors. Such statistics, when available, are descriptive and based on the journal's historical editorial records. They do not constitute a guarantee of the processing time for any individual manuscript.
Actual processing times may differ because of variations in manuscript quality, peer-review duration, revision requirements, Reviewer availability, and other editorial considerations.
Peer Review and Acceptance
Manuscripts submitted to JSSEI that are subject to peer review must undergo the applicable editorial evaluation and peer-review process before an acceptance decision is issued. Manuscripts must also complete any required revision, final checking, editing, proofreading, and production stages before publication.
The journal does not guarantee acceptance or publication within a specific period. Under favorable circumstances, a manuscript that meets the journal's requirements, receives timely Reviewer responses, and requires limited revision may progress through the editorial process relatively quickly. However, the actual duration depends on the outcome of editorial evaluation and peer review.
The JSSEI manuscript requirements emphasize that manuscripts must meet the journal's standards for scholarly quality, relevance, methodological clarity, ethical compliance, and publication integrity before publication.
Publication
Publication takes place only after the manuscript has completed the applicable editorial and production requirements and has received a formal acceptance decision.
If JSSEI implements an advance online publication or Articles in Press system, articles that have completed the required editorial and production processes may be made available online before assignment to a particular volume or issue. The implementation, status, DOI, and version of such articles would follow the journal's applicable publication procedures.
Letter of Acceptance
A Letter of Acceptance (LoA) is issued only after a manuscript has been formally accepted through the applicable editorial process. Completion of submission, initial checking, or peer review does not constitute acceptance.
JSSEI does not guarantee a specific date for the issuance of an LoA or publication. Editorial decisions remain dependent on the results of editorial evaluation, peer review, required revisions, and compliance with the journal's publication standards.
