JSSEI: Journal of Sustainable Science and Educational Innovation is a scientific journal published by the Master of Science Education Study Program, State University of Surabaya (UNESA), Indonesia. JSSEI focuses on science education research and innovation that integrates STEM, environment, sustainability, digital technology, and artificial intelligence. This journal is a forum for researchers, educators, and practitioners to disseminate the results of research, studies, and science learning innovations in the face of the development of science, technology, and environmental challenges. JSSEI accepts empirical research articles, theoretical and conceptual studies, systematic literature reviews, scoping reviews, bibliometric reviews, and science education innovations at various levels.

Focus and Scope
1. STEM and Science Learning Innovation
Includes research, development, and implementation of STEM-based science learning innovations (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). The scope includes project-based learning, problem-based learning, inquiry, engineering design, problem solving, critical thinking, creativity, science literacy, 21st century skills, as well as the development of science learning models, strategies, approaches, teaching materials, media, and science learning assessments.

2. Science Education for Environment and Sustainability
It includes research and innovation in science education oriented to environmental issues, sustainability, and sustainable development. The scope includes climate change, environmental degradation, natural resource conservation, sustainable energy, environmental management, disaster mitigation and adaptation, environmental literacy, eco-ethno-science, local wisdom, Education for Sustainable Development (ESD), and learning that supports the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

3. Digital Technology and Artificial Intelligence in Science Education
It includes research and development of the use of digital technology and artificial intelligence (AI) in science education and learning. The scope includes virtual laboratories, simulations, augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), learning management systems, interactive multimedia, data-based learning, generative AI, adaptive learning, and technology development and evaluation to improve the effectiveness, interactivity, accessibility, and personalization of science learning.
