Focus and Scope
Journal of the Indonesian Mathematics Education Society (JIMES) publishes high-quality original research articles, review articles, and scholarly studies in the field of mathematics education across all educational levels, including elementary, secondary, and higher education. The journal welcomes contributions from researchers, educators, practitioners, and policymakers worldwide that advance theory, practice, and innovation in mathematics education.
The scope of the Journal of the Indonesian Mathematics Education Society (JIMES) includes, but is not limited to, the following areas:
- Mathematics Teaching and Learning
Research on instructional strategies, learning models, classroom practices, and pedagogical innovations in mathematics education. - Mathematical Thinking and Problem Solving
Studies on critical thinking, creative thinking, higher-order thinking skills (HOTS), reasoning, metacognition, decision making, and mathematical problem-solving processes. - Technology-Enhanced Mathematics Education
Research involving the integration of technology and digital media in mathematics learning, including GeoGebra, Scratch, calculators, augmented reality, and other educational technologies. - Psychology in Mathematics Education
Studies examining psychological and affective factors in mathematics learning, such as mathematics anxiety, motivation, self-efficacy, curiosity, learning styles, and gender differences. - Development and Innovation in Mathematics Education
