Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis konsep atau makna kewarganegaraan global ditinjau dari berbagai pandangan ideologi dunia, dan meguraikan kewarganegaraan global dalam konteks Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan (PKn). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode studi literatur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemaknaan terhadap konsep kewarganegaraan global dewasa ini masih kabur dan belum terdapat definisi tetap yang disepakati. Faktor penyebabnya adalah karena perbedaan pandangan dari para ilmuan-ilmuan pendidikan (moralitas) dan sosial-politik yang masing-masing mengklaim kewarganegaraan global sebagai bagian kajian bidangnya, serta perbedaan pemaknaan dari ideologi-ideologi dunia. Kajian kewarganegaraan global dalam konteks Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan telah menjadi daya tarik yang kuat dalam studi pendidikan kewarganegaraan di berbagai negara. Hal ini terlihat dari topik-topik kewarganegaraan global yang telah dikembangkan dalam konten Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan, khususnya topik yang berhubungan dengan hak asasi manusia, globalisasi, dan perdamaian dunia.
