Manuscript Types
Repertoar Journal accepts scholarly manuscripts in the form of Original Research Articles, Review Articles, and Comments and Criticism. All submitted manuscripts must align with the journal's focus and scope, demonstrate a clear scholarly contribution, and comply with the applicable methodological standards, publication ethics, and editorial requirements.
1. Original Research Articles
Original Research Articles present original findings derived from systematic research conducted in accordance with established scholarly standards. Repertoar Journal accepts studies employing quantitative, qualitative, mixed-methods, and practice-based research approaches relevant to music and related disciplines. Manuscripts must present clearly defined research problems, appropriate theoretical foundations, research methods aligned with the study objectives, and findings supported by empirical evidence or verifiable research documentation. Practice-based research, including music composition and performance, must explicitly describe the research process, the rationale underlying artistic decisions, and the contribution of the work to scholarly knowledge. Submitted articles are expected to provide original findings, interpretations, or insights that advance understanding within music research and related fields.
2. Review Articles
Review Articles provide critical analyses and syntheses of previously published research to identify developments in scholarly knowledge, research gaps, and directions for future investigation. Repertoar Journal accepts review manuscripts employing Systematic Literature Review (SLR) and Meta-Analysis approaches, provided that the selected methodology is appropriate to the research questions and available evidence. Systematic reviews must employ transparent and reproducible literature search procedures, explicitly defined inclusion and exclusion criteria, and appropriate methods of evidence synthesis. Meta-analyses must clearly describe study selection procedures, data extraction methods, and the statistical techniques applied. Reporting of systematic reviews is encouraged to follow the PRISMA 2020 guidelines when applicable. Review Articles must extend beyond descriptive summaries of existing literature and provide critical syntheses that contribute conceptual, methodological, or empirical insights to the advancement of music scholarship.
3. Comments and Criticism
Comments and Criticism constitute a form of post-publication scholarly communication intended to facilitate critical evaluation, clarification, and continued academic discussion of articles previously published in Repertoar Journal. Submissions in this category may address the interpretation of research findings, methodological rigor, theoretical arguments, or the scholarly implications of published studies. All comments and criticisms must be objective, supported by substantiated arguments or verifiable evidence, and expressed in professional academic language. Authors of the original articles may be invited to submit an Author Response, which may be published and linked to the original article and the related commentary. This mechanism is intended to strengthen publication transparency, encourage constructive scholarly dialogue, and support the continuous development of academic knowledge.

All manuscript types must comply with the journal's requirements concerning originality, academic integrity, and alignment with the focus and scope of Repertoar Journal. Each submission will undergo an initial editorial screening to assess its scholarly relevance and suitability for further consideration. Peer review procedures and publication decisions will be conducted in accordance with the journal's established editorial policies and manuscript evaluation procedures.
