Abstract

Spodoptera litura is a pest that attacks soybeans and causes a decrease in production. Alternative control of S. litura with bioinsecticides. Lamtoro and papaya leaves have potential as bioinsecticides because they contain mimosin, papain, and kimopapain compounds. This study aims to determine the effect of extract type, extract concentration, and the interaction between the two on the antifeedant activity and mortality of S. litura. This study used RAL two treatment factors, namely the type of lamtoro leaf extract, papaya and their combination, extract concentration of 5%, 10%, 15% and negative control using distilled water and positive control using cypermethrin. Data on the percentage of antifeedant activity and mortality were analyzed using a two-way ANOVA and continued with Duncan’s test. The results showed that there was an effect of the type and concentration extract and interaction between the type and concentration of lamtoro leaf extract, papaya and their combination on antifeedant activity and mortality of S. litura. Types of combination extracts at a concentration of 15% was the most effective treatment with an antifeedant activity percentage of 36,00% and a mortality of 80,00%. So, that lamtoro and papaya leaf extracts can be used as alternative bioinsecticides to replace synthetic insecticides.
