This journal is free (open access) for writers and readers. The contents of the journal focus on citizenship issues or problems, character education, and general values and ideals that develop in the country's society. The scope of the journal includes theoretical studies and research on social, political, legal and civic education, character and moral issues of the country's society.
All articles submitted to JCMS will be selected and reviewed in a closed manner (blind peer review) by (minimum) 2 reviewers who are experts in their fields. Acceptance of articles depends on the correctness of the content, degree of originality, clarity of description, and suitability to the journal's goals. The Editorial Board's decision on submitted articles is whether they can be accepted without revision, accepted with minor revisions, accepted with major revisions, or rejected. The results of the article review by the reviewer will be notified to the author via email. Authors are given the opportunity to revise their articles according to the reviewer's (and editor's) suggestions no later than 8 weeks after the notification email. To prevent plagiarism, all incoming articles will be checked for authenticity using anti-plagiarism software Turnitin.
The entire peer review process to article publication is free of charge (no article processing and submission charges). All articles published on JCMS are open (open access) following the Creative Commons: Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International. The full license can be viewed here.
JCMS is a peer-reviewed journal managed and published by the Unesa PMPKN FISH Department. Published periodically twice a year in June and December.
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

After developing, this journal also entered into an MoA with AP3Kni. This journal is a new journal that accommodates the need for the development of synthetic disciplinary citizenship science.
