Focus and Scope

JCER contains papers/articles of the ideas and researches in the disciplines of chemistry education and learning that examined theoretically and empirically. The Journal discuss thinking skills and assessment in chemistry education and learning.

Peer Review Process

All articles that submitted to JCER will be confirmed by the editors within one to three weeks. Then it be selected and reviewed in a closed (blind peer review) by a minimum of 2 reviewers who are experts in their field within three to four weeks. Acceptance of the article relies on compliance with the target journal, the truth of the contents, the degree of originality, and clarity of description.

Articles can be accepted without revision, accepted with revisions, or rejected. The results of a review article by the reviewer will be notified to the author via email. Authors are given an opportunity to revise the article in accordance with the advice of the reviewer (and editor) at the latest three weeks after the notification email.

To prevent plagiarism, the entire article that entry will be checked its authenticity by using anti-plagiarism software. All the articles published in the open access JCER.

Publication Frequency

JCER (Journal of Chemistry Education Research is a peer-reviewed journal that is managed by Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Negeri Surabaya and published by Universitas Negeri Surabaya. JCER is published periodically (twice a year) in June and December.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Journal of Chemistry Education Research

All articles submitted to JCER must be the original work (free of plagiarism). The submitted article has never existed in any media and/or is not being or will be submitted in any medias. The author is responsible for the authenticity of the submitted manuscript. All incoming articles will be checked for authenticity to prevent plagiarism by using turnitin software. Any forms of high-level plagiarism will be banned (temporary up to permanent banned)
