Indonesia Journal of Local Wisdom Education is a scientific journal that contains and disseminates research results, in-depth study, and innovative ideas in the field of educational science. The innovation of teachers and lecturers in the development of the education sector can contribute positively to schools and educational institutions. published by Faculty of Education Universitas Negeri Surabaya. periodically (1 year 2 times published) with the number of 5 articles each time published (10 articles per year)

The Indonesian Journal of Local Wisdom Education (IJLWE) aspires to bridge traditional knowledge with modern educational practices. The journal aims to:
- Integrate local wisdom into educational theories, practices, and policies, enhancing education quality across all levels.
- Facilitate interdisciplinary discussions on the role of indigenous knowledge in sustainable and culturally responsive education.
- Provide a platform for high-quality research exploring education and local culture intersections in Indonesia, with global educational implications. 
- Contribute to global education research by showcasing how Indonesia’s cultural heritage can inform innovative teaching, learning, and leadership. 
- Support educational models that preserve cultural identity while addressing contemporary challenges.

Scope of the Journal:

IJLWE invites original research articles, reviews, and case studies in the following areas:

  1. Educational Theory and Pedagogy – How local cultural wisdom informs modern educational theories and teaching.
  2. Curriculum Development – Designing curricula that reflect local values and traditions
  3. Teacher Education – Preparing educators to incorporate indigenous knowledge and local wisdom into teaching.
  4. Psychology of Education – The role of local cultural practices on students’ development.
  5. Educational Leadership and Management – Influence of cultural values on leadership and decision-making in education.
  6. *Inclusive Education* – Applying local wisdom to foster inclusive education.

All submissions are checked for plagiarism using iThenticate before they undergo the peer-review process.

Peer Review Process

The submitted papers should be original, unpublished, and not in consideration for publication elsewhere at the time of submission to this journal. All paper submissions will be refereed in a double-blind review process by at least two international reviewers with expertise in the relevant subject area.
