The advancement of digital technology has driven a significant increase in halal product transactions through e-commerce platforms. This condition not only expands market opportunities but also presents a number of new challenges, particularly regarding the authenticity of halal certificates, product information transparency, and consumer protection against the risk of harmful misleading information. In the Indonesian legal context, Law Number 33 of 2014 concerning Halal Product Assurance and Law Number 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection play pivotal roles as instruments to guarantee consumer rights to Sharia-compliant products as well as consumer protection standards. This study employs a normative juridical method with statutory and conceptual approaches, thereby providing a comprehensive overview regarding the relevance of regulations to practices in the field. The analysis results indicate that although regulations provide a sufficiently strong legal basis, their implementation still faces obstacles, such as weak supervision of digital transactions, low consumer literacy in verifying product halal status, and the complexity of cross-platform and cross-border oversight. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen regulations that are responsive to technological developments, establish more solid synergy between supervisory institutions, and increase consumer awareness and literacy regarding halal product verification. Through these measures, consumer protection in halal product transactions via e-commerce can be achieved optimally and sustainably.
