Direct Marketing Policy

Bima Loka: Journal of Physical Education is committed to conducting all direct marketing activities — including calls for papers, author solicitation, and journal promotion — in a manner that is honest, professional, appropriate, and respectful to the academic community.

1. Scope of Direct Marketing Activities
Direct marketing activities conducted by Bima Loka: Journal of Physical Education may include:
  • Calls for papers (CFP) distributed via email, social media, or academic networks
  • Announcements of special issues or thematic collections
  • Invitations to submit manuscripts to authors whose work is relevant to the journal's scope
  • Notifications of new publications to registered readers and subscribers
  • Promotion of the journal at academic conferences, seminars, or institutional events
2. Principles of Direct Marketing
Principle Description
Accurate & Honest All marketing communications must accurately represent the journal, including its scope, indexing status, peer review process, publication timeline, and fees. No misleading claims will be made about the journal's impact, prestige, or indexing.
Targeted & Relevant Solicitations are directed only to researchers whose work is genuinely relevant to the journal's scope — physical education, sport science, health, and recreation. Mass, untargeted solicitations to unrelated academic communities are not conducted.
Non-Intrusive Marketing communications are sent at a reasonable frequency. Recipients who do not wish to receive further communications may opt out at any time, and their preference will be respected promptly.
Transparent All communications clearly identify the sender as Bima Loka: Journal of Physical Education, published by FIKK, Universitas Negeri Surabaya. The nature of the communication (e.g., call for papers, special issue invitation) is always stated clearly.
Editorially Independent Marketing and solicitation activities are never used to guarantee or imply acceptance of manuscripts. All submitted manuscripts — whether solicited or unsolicited — undergo the same double-blind peer review process and are subject to the same editorial standards.
3. Accuracy of Journal Information
All information about the journal published in marketing materials — whether online, in email, or in print — must be accurate and up to date. This includes:
  • Indexing status — only databases in which the journal is currently and verifiably indexed will be mentioned
  • Peer review process — the journal's double-blind peer review process will always be accurately described
  • Publication fees — the journal's Diamond Open Access status (no fees for authors or readers) will be clearly stated
  • Publication timeline — estimated timelines communicated to authors will reflect realistic editorial processes
  • Editorial board — only current, confirmed members of the editorial board will be listed
The journal will not make false or exaggerated claims regarding its impact factor, citation metrics, acceptance rates, or prestige.
4. Call for Papers (CFP) Standards
All calls for papers issued by Bima Loka: Journal of Physical Education will:
  • Clearly state the journal's name, publisher, and website
  • Accurately describe the journal's focus and scope
  • Specify submission deadlines, review timelines, and expected publication dates
  • State explicitly that submission does not guarantee acceptance
  • Confirm that all submissions will undergo double-blind peer review
  • Confirm that publication is free of charge for authors
5. Opt-Out & Contact
Any individual who does not wish to receive marketing communications from this journal may request removal from our mailing list at any time by contacting the editorial office. We commit to honoring all opt-out requests within a reasonable timeframe.
