Advertising Policy

Bima Loka: Journal of Physical Education maintains a clear and transparent advertising policy to ensure that any form of commercial association does not influence editorial decisions or compromise the integrity of published content.

1. Current Advertising Status
Bima Loka: Journal of Physical Education currently carries no advertising or commercial sponsorship. The journal is fully funded by institutional support from the Department of Physical Education, Faculty of Sport and Health Science (FIKK), Universitas Negeri Surabaya (UNESA). Should the journal consider accepting advertising or sponsorship in the future, all arrangements will be governed by the policy outlined on this page.
2. Acceptable Types of Advertising
Should advertising or sponsorship be accepted in the future, it will be strictly limited to categories that are relevant to the journal's academic mission and appropriate for its readership. Acceptable categories include:
Category Examples

3. Unacceptable Advertising
The following types of advertising will not be accepted under any circumstances:
  • Tobacco, alcohol, or any substance that may be harmful to health
  • Political campaigns, parties, or ideological organizations
  • Products or services unrelated to education, research, sport, or health
  • Predatory publishers, paper mills, or services that compromise academic integrity
  • Any advertiser whose content conflicts with the ethical standards of the journal
4. Decision Authority
All decisions regarding the acceptance or rejection of advertising and sponsorship are made exclusively by the Editor-in-Chief in consultation with the Editorial Board. No advertising arrangement may be entered into without explicit approval from the editorial leadership. The publisher (FIKK, UNESA) may be consulted on institutional matters but does not override editorial judgment on advertising decisions.
5. Separation of Advertising and Editorial Content
Advertising and editorial content are strictly separated. The following principles apply:
  • Advertisers and sponsors have no influence on editorial decisions, including manuscript acceptance, rejection, or content.
  • Advertising is not targeted based on reader behavior, browsing history, or personal data.
  • Any paid content or sponsored material will be clearly labeled as such and visually distinguishable from editorial content.
  • The acceptance or rejection of an advertisement has no bearing on the journal's decision to publish or reject manuscripts from the same organization.
6. Contact for Advertising Inquiries
Organizations or institutions interested in advertising or sponsorship opportunities may contact the editorial office. All inquiries will be reviewed against this policy before any decision is made.
