Plagiarism Policy
Plagiarism Policy
The Editorial Board of the Indonesian Journal of Kinanthropology (IJOK) recognizes that plagiarism is unacceptable and is committed to maintaining the integrity of academic publications. Therefore, the journal establishes the following policy outlining actions (penalties) in cases where plagiarism or excessive similarity is identified in submitted manuscripts.
IJOK uses plagiarism detection software (such as Turnitin or equivalent tools) to screen all submitted manuscripts and final versions prior to publication. A maximum similarity index of 20% is generally acceptable. Manuscripts exceeding this threshold may be returned to the authors for revision or rejected depending on the extent and nature of the similarity.
Definition
Plagiarism is defined as the use or close imitation of the language, ideas, or work of another author without proper acknowledgment, presenting them as one’s own original work.

- Any text, data, or material taken from other sources must be clearly acknowledged through proper citation.
- Direct quotations must be indicated using quotation marks or appropriate formatting, along with proper references.
