Author Guidelines

1. The purpose of Glocal Praxis in Elementary Education (GPrEEc) is to publish original research, ideas, perspectives, and the dissemination of knowledge that focuses on a glocal (global and local) perspective on elementary education praxis.

2. Manuscripts for GPrEEc are highly encouraged to be submitted online by registering on the website: https://journal.unesa.ac.id/index.php/GPrEEc/login

3. The manuscript must be either original research (research article) or a literature review (review article).

4. Submitted manuscripts must not have been published or be under consideration for publication elsewhere. Authors must include a Statement of Originality during the submission process.

5. Manuscripts must be written in English, with a length of 5 to 15 pages.

6. The manuscript title must be written in English using Arial, font size 16, bold.

7. Author names (without academic titles) must include full names, and affiliations.

8. The abstract should be written in paragraph form, not more than 250 words, in English, using Arial Narrow, 11pt. The abstract should should provide a brief introduction to the problem, objective of paper, followed by a statement regarding the methodology and a brief summary of results. The abstract should end with a comment on the significance of the results or a brief conclusion.

9. Keywords (maximum 5 words) should be listed below the abstract in English.

10. Manuscript should be typed using word processors (Microsoft Word or Open Office) software. The font used throughout the paper is Arial Narrow. The paper size is A4 (i.e., 210 x 297 mm), one-column format with a 3 cm margin at the top, a 3 cm margin at the bottom, 3 cm margin on the left, and 3 cm margin on the right. Lines are 1.15 spaced, justified. 

11. Research articles must include: Title; Authors Name; Authors Affiliation; Abstract; Keywords; Methods; Results and Discussion; Conclusions; Acknowledgments; and References.

12. Figures are sequentially numbered commencing at 1 with the figure title and number below the figure. Figure require high-resolution (300–600 DPI) images in TIFF or EPS formats, with vector files (PDF/EPS) preferred for graphs and 600 DPI for halftone images.

13. Tables are sequentially numbered with the table title and number above the table. Tables should be centered in the column OR on the page. Tables should be followed by a line space (11pt). Elements of a table should be single-spaced, however double spacing can be used to show groupings of data or to separate parts within the table.

14. Diagrams, charts, schematics, or flowcharts should use Arial, single-spaced. Font size should be 11 pt or adjustable.

15. Equations must be numbered on the right-hand side in parentheses. The International System of Units (SI) and standard abbreviations should be used. Use a period as the decimal point in English articles (e.g., 0.5). Avoid abbreviations unless previously defined or commonly known. Footnotes are not allowed.

16. Any financial or substantive conflicts of interest that could affect the research outcomes or interpretation must be disclosed in the manuscript. All sources of financial or non-financial support must also be acknowledged in the Acknowledgements section.

17. In Introduction, Authors should state the objectives of the work at the end of the introduction section. Before the objective, Authors should provide an adequate background, and very short literature survey in order to record the existing solutions/method, to show which is the best of previous research, to show the main limitation of the previous research, to show what do you hope to achieve (to solve the limitation), and to show the scientific merit or novelties of the paper. Avoid a detailed literature survey or a summary of the results.

18. This journal opens to a variety of qualitative research studies such as case study, narrative inquiry, philosophical inquiry, ethnography, critical discourse analysis, and policy critique. Most of our submissions follow formal academic publishing guidelines, but we welcome creative and imaginative ways to explore qualitative methods and are open to conversations about the format and presentation of submissions.

19. Results should be clear and concise. The results should summarize (scientific) findings rather than providing data in detail. Please highlight differences between your results or findings and the previous publications by other researchers.

20. The discussion should explore the significance of the results of the work, not repeat them. A combined Results and Discussion section is often appropriate. Avoid extensive citations and discussion of published literature. 

21. The following components should be covered in discussion: How do your results relate to the original question or objectives outlined in the Introduction section (what)? Do you provide interpretation scientifically for each of your results or findings presented (why)? Are your results consistent with what other investigators have reported (what else)? Or are there any differences? 

22. Mathematical equations should be written using Microsoft Equation Editor or Design Science: MathType – Equation Editor. Equation numbers must be placed on the right side in order of appearance.

23. Conclusions should answer the objectives of research. Do not repeat the Abstract, or just list experimental results. Provide a clear scientific justification for your work and indicate possible applications and extensions. You should also suggest future experiments and/or point out those that are underway.

24. References must be listed in alphabetical order. Every cited source must appear in the reference list, and every item in the reference list must be cited in the manuscript. A minimum of 15 references is required, with at least 80% from recent scholarly journal articles (published within the last 10 years). Reference management using Mendeley, EndNote, or Zotero with APA style is highly recommended.

25. All articles submitted to Glocal Praxis in Elementary Education will undergo a blind peer review by at least one expert in the field. Manuscript acceptance depends on the novelty, significance, accuracy, originality, clarity, and alignment with the journal’s objectives.

26. The editorial board reserves the right to accept, return for revision, or reject submitted manuscripts.
