Publication Flow

JRMH Manuscript Evaluation and Publication Flow

1. Manuscript Submission

Author submits the manuscript via the journal website and completes all required metadata and documents (e.g., ethical clearance, informed consent, checklist).

2. Initial Screening by Editorial Team

The editorial team conducts an initial assessment to evaluate:

  • Relevance to journal scope
  • Ethical compliance
  • Adherence to author guidelines
  • Similarity and AI check using Turnitin

3.  Preliminary Decision by Editor-in-Chief

Based on the initial screening, the Editor-in-Chief may:

  • Proceed to peer review
  • Return to author for corrections (Pre-review revision)
  • Reject the manuscript if it does not meet basic requirements and is not corrected

4.  Reviewer Assignment

The editorial office assigns the manuscript to reviewers according to their area of expertise.

The peer review process is double-blind to ensure objectivity.

5.  Peer Review Process

Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on:

  • Scientific quality
  • Originality and significance
  • Clarity of presentation
  • Methodological rigor
  • Reference quality

Feedback is provided with clear recommendations: Accept / Minor Revision / Major Revision / Reject.

6.  Author Revision

The author revises the manuscript according to reviewer feedback and resubmits within the specified time.

7.   Second Round Review (if needed)

The revised manuscript may be re-reviewed by the same reviewers to ensure that suggested improvements have been addressed.

8.  Final Decision by Editor-in-Chief

The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision based on:

  • Reviewer recommendations
  • Manuscript quality after revision
  • Similarity report

9.  Proofreading

The manuscript undergoes professional proofreading to ensure language quality and formatting consistency.

10. Letter of Acceptance (LoA)

Once the manuscript is deemed acceptable, the Editor-in-Chief issues a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) to the author.

11. Copyediting and Layouting

The editorial team performs final copyediting and formatting to prepare the article for publication.

12.  Publication

The final version of the article is published online in the assigned issue of the Journal of Research in Midwifery and Healthcare (JRMH), which is scheduled biannually in June and December. All published articles are openly accessible via the journal website.

Note:

The entire peer review and publication process is based solely on the scientific quality and completeness of the submitted manuscript, regardless of the authors' affiliation or background.
