Plagiarism Policy
JPAP is committed to upholding academic integrity, scholarly originality, and ethical standards in academic publishing. All submitted manuscripts are subject to a text similarity screening using Turnitin or comparable plagiarism detection software, with a maximum similarity index of 20% established as part of the initial editorial screening process.
Similarity reports are carefully assessed by the editorial team through a substantive evaluation that considers the sources, extent, and context of the identified similarities. Manuscripts exceeding the 20% similarity threshold may be returned to the authors for revision or rejected, depending on the outcome of the editorial assessment. Conversely, manuscripts found to contain substantial plagiarism may be rejected even if their similarity index falls below the prescribed threshold.
JPAP maintains a strict policy against plagiarism in all its forms, including the unauthorized or improperly attributed use of another party's text, ideas, data, or scholarly work, as well as the reuse of an author's previously published work without appropriate disclosure or citation (self-plagiarism). Authors are responsible for ensuring the originality of their manuscripts, the accuracy and completeness of citations and references, and compliance with established ethical standards in scholarly publishing.
In addressing suspected cases of plagiarism, the editorial team may request clarification or revisions from the authors before reaching a final decision. All editorial decisions are made following a thorough and impartial examination of the relevant evidence, in accordance with established principles of publication ethics.
