  1. Copyright Ownership

Authors retain copyright in their articles.

  1. License of the Final Published Article

By default, Jurnal Pendidikan Administrasi Perkantoran (JPAP) publishes the final version of each article (Version of Record, “VoR”) under the Creative Commons Attribution–NonCommercial–ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0) license. This license requires appropriate attribution, permits reuse for non-commercial purposes, and requires adaptations to be distributed under the same license.

An alternative Creative Commons license may be applied only with JPAP’s prior written approval. The corresponding author must submit a request at or before acceptance to the email address listed on JPAP’s Contact page, specifying (i) the exact license requested, (ii) any applicable funder or institutional requirements, and (iii) the manuscript title and ID.

The alternative license takes effect only after JPAP provides written confirmation and the approved license is displayed on both the article’s webpage and PDF. Until these conditions are met, CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 applies. JPAP reserves the right to decline requests at its discretion.

  1. License to Publish

Authors grant Jurnal Pendidikan Administrasi Perkantoran (JPAP) a non-exclusive license to publish the Version of Record (VoR) and to reproduce, distribute, publicly display, communicate, translate, index, preserve, and otherwise make it available worldwide, in all media and formats, for as long as necessary to maintain permanent scholarly access. JPAP may engage trusted third-party services to support these activities, including DOI registration, indexing, and digital preservation. To prevent duplicate publication, authors agree not to publish the same or a substantially similar article in another scholarly journal.

  1. Author Rights

Authors may share their articles with colleagues, use them for teaching, present them at conferences, and incorporate them into theses, dissertations, books, encyclopedia entries, or monographs. They may also create non-commercial adaptations with appropriate attribution, retain patent and trademark rights, and self-archive preprints and author accepted manuscripts (AAMs).

5. Preprints: Authors may post preprints at any time. Once the article is published, the preprint should be updated to include the VoR citation, DOI, and a link to the published version.

6. Author Accepted Manuscript (AAM): Authors may deposit the AAM in personal, institutional, or disciplinary repositories without embargo. The deposited manuscript should include the VoR citation, DOI, a link to the published version, and a statement identifying the VoR’s license.

7. Version of Record (VoR): If the AAM and VoR carry different licenses, each license applies only to its respective version. The VoR remains subject to the license displayed on the published article.

8. Text and Data Mining (TDM)

Text and data mining (TDM) of the Version of Record (VoR) and Author Accepted Manuscript (AAM) is permitted under the license applicable to each version, with appropriate attribution and links to the VoR DOI. Derivative corpora containing expressive content must comply with any applicable Share Alike requirements.

  1. Access: Users must respect robots.txt directives and rate limits and must not circumvent access controls. Bulk access through JPAP APIs or datasets may be provided upon request.
  2. Intermediate copies: Intermediate copies may be created for non-commercial research.
  3. Outputs: Outputs may be shared for non-commercial purposes, with citations to the relevant VoR DOIs and identification of the applicable license.
  4. Suspension: Jurnal Pendidikan Administrasi Perkantoran (JPAP) may suspend access in cases of abuse. Such suspension does not revoke previously granted Creative Commons rights for lawfully obtained copies.

Exceptions and Additional Permissions

  1. Educational cost recovery: Accredited non-profit institutions may reproduce the VoR for educational purposes on a cost-recovery basis, provided they include appropriate attribution, the VoR DOI, and the CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 license notice.
  1. Government or institutional deposit: The AAM or VoR may be deposited to meet government or institutional requirements, accompanied by the VoR citation, DOI, and the license statement applicable to the deposited version.
  2. Commercial reuse: Commercial uses outside the scope of the CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 license require prior written permission from the copyright holders (authors).
  3. Translations and adaptations: Translations and adaptations are permitted under the VoR’s CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 license, subject to attribution, non-commercial use, and ShareAlike requirements. They must include a link to the VoR DOI. Permitted adaptations do not constitute duplicate journal publication.
  4. Third-Party Content

Some figures/tables may carry different licenses or require permission. Users must follow the credit lines and obtain any additional permissions.
