Declaration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Use Policy
The Jurnal Pendidikan Administrasi Perkantoran (JPAP) is committed to transparency, academic integrity, and the responsible use of artificial intelligence (AI) in scholarly publishing. Authors must disclose whether generative AI tools or AI-assisted technologies were used in preparing their manuscripts.
- Disclosure of AI Use
Authors must include a declaration stating whether AI tools were used in manuscript preparation. If AI was used, the declaration must identify the tool, describe its purpose, and specify the nature of its contribution. Basic spelling, grammar, and punctuation checks do not require disclosure, unless they involve substantive rewriting or content generation.
- Author Responsibility
Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, validity, and integrity of their manuscripts, including any AI-assisted content. All AI-generated outputs, factual claims, and references must be critically reviewed and verified by the authors. AI tools must not be listed as authors or co-authors.
AI must not be used to fabricate or falsify research data, results, references, or evidence. The use of AI must not replace the authors’ original scholarly contribution, critical analysis, or academic judgment.
- AI Use in Research Methods
When AI tools are used in research design, data collection, data analysis, or other research procedures, their use must also be described in the relevant section of the manuscript, including the methods, as appropriate.
- Declaration in the Manuscript
The AI declaration must be included in the manuscript before the References section. Authors must select the statement that accurately reflects their use of AI.
- When AI was used: “During the preparation of this manuscript, the author(s) used [name of AI tool] for [specific purpose]. The author(s) critically reviewed and revised the AI-assisted output, verified its accuracy, and take full responsibility for the final content of the manuscript.”
- When AI was not used: “The author(s) declare that no generative AI tools or AI-assisted technologies were used in the preparation of this manuscript.”
JPAP reserves the right to request clarification regarding AI use when necessary. Undisclosed or inappropriate use of AI may be addressed in accordance with the journal’s publication ethics policies.
This policy aims to promote responsible AI use while safeguarding the originality, credibility, and integrity of scholarly publications.
