Submission Process
Article Submission
- Authors register an account on the JIBR website.
- Authors log in to the journal submission system.
- Authors submit their manuscript through the online submission platform.
Initial Editorial Evaluation
- The Editor conducts an initial screening of the submitted manuscript.
- Manuscripts that do not meet the journal requirements will be returned to the authors for correction or rejected before peer review.
Reviewer Assignment
- Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to at least two independent reviewers with expertise relevant to the manuscript topic.
- Reviewers are invited by the Editor and provided with the manuscript and review guidelines.
Peer Review Process
- Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on:
- Originality and novelty.
- Scientific merit and methodology.
- Data quality and interpretation.
- Relevance to biotechnology research.
- Clarity of presentation and references.
- Reviewers submit their recommendations and comments to the Editor.
- The peer review process is conducted using a double-blind review system, where the identities of authors and reviewers are concealed from each other.
Editorial Decision and Revision
- The Editor assesses the reviewers’ comments and recommendations.
- The manuscript may receive one of the following decisions:
- Accept without revision.
- Minor revision.
- Major revision.
- Reject.
- Authors are required to revise the manuscript according to the reviewers’ and Editor’s comments.
- Revised manuscripts must be accompanied by a response letter explaining how each comment has been addressed.
Second Editorial Evaluation and Similarity Check
- The Editor evaluates the revised manuscript.
- A plagiarism/similarity check is conducted using appropriate similarity-detection software.
- If necessary, the manuscript may be returned to the authors for further revision or sent for an additional round of review.
Layout and Proofreading Process
- Accepted manuscripts proceed to copyediting, layout editing, and proofreading.
- Authors review the final layout and provide approval for publication.
- Final checks, including formatting consistency and publication readiness, are completed.
Final Editorial Evaluation
- The Editor performs a final evaluation of the publication-ready manuscript.
- The Editor confirms that all review comments, revisions, ethical requirements, and publication standards have been satisfactorily fulfilled.
Publication
- Manuscript is formally accepted for publication.
- The article is published in the corresponding issue of the Journal of Integrated Biotechnology Research (JIBR) and made available online.

- Initial Editorial Screening: 6-10 days
- Peer Review: 1-2 weeks
- Author Revision: 2 weeks
- Final Evaluation and Production: 1–2 weeks
