Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  • Comply with the provisions stipulated in the terms of writing and publication procedures at JGGP

  1. The author is responsible for the contents of the manuscript. -----
  2. Scope of research are : physical geography, human geography, geography education, regional and environmental studies, remote sensing and GIS.
  3. Manuscripts have never been and will not be published in a journal or other publication media which is proven by attaching a statement of authenticity of the manuscript.
  4. Manuscripts that have been presented at the seminar must be annotated in the footnote on the first page.
  5. Manuscripts in the form of pure or applied scientific research results.
  6. Editors have the right to make changes to the text for uniformity of format without changing the intent of the content.
  7. Manuscripts are written in standard English, MS Word digital format, Time New Roman font size 11, 1 spacing for abstract, 1.4 spacing for content and 1.15 space for reference/bibliography, in quarto paper format (A4).
  8. The number of pages from title to table of contents is even (10/12/14/16 pages).
  9. References from scientific journals take precedence over the last 5 years. The citation in the script uses the APA system. References used in each manuscript is at least 15 references consisting of at least 80% journal articles.
  10. Writing must follow the template provided.
  11. The systematics of writing for scientific articles of research results are as follows:
  • Title, author's name (full name without academic degree), footnote marks. Footnote on the first page about the title and address of the author's work
  • Abstract (Indonesian and English); Abstract contains state of the arts, objectives, methods, results, conclusions, and keywords.
    • including background, problem formulation, and research objectives.
    • background theory must build based on valid references or data.
    • explain step by step method and data collection used in the research in detail
    • C.1. RESULT
      • Describes all research result according to the objectives
      • Figures can be used max 3 figures
      • Table can be used max 3 tables
      • The table must not break by page
      • Discuss the research result to all references used. The research result can "in line with.. or agree", "reject or opposite", or "partially aligned" to the existing theory or reference.
      • Discussion page lenght at least same with research result page lenght
      • Write some consclusion according to the objectives of the research
      • Consclusion wrote by point or paragraph
    • References wrote by APA system

Manuscripts that do not follow the rules above, will be returned to the author for correction as necessary.

A letter of acceptance (Letter of Acceptance / LOA) will be issued after it is decided that the manuscript is accepted by the editorial board.
