Artificial Intelligence Policy
Jurnal Ekonomika dan Bisnis Islam (JEKoBi) permits the responsible use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support research and scholarly publishing, provided that their use complies with academic integrity, research ethics, and publication standards.
- Authors: Authors may use AI tools for language editing, translation, data analysis, and other appropriate research activities. Substantive use of generative AI must be disclosed. Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, validity, and integrity of their manuscripts. AI tools cannot be listed as authors.
- Reviewers: Reviewers must maintain confidentiality and must not upload unpublished manuscripts or confidential information to unauthorised AI tools. Peer-review assessments must reflect independent scholarly judgement.
- Editors: Editors may use AI tools for appropriate editorial support but remain responsible for editorial decisions, confidentiality, and publication ethics.
- Research Integrity: AI must not be used to fabricate data, falsify results, generate fictitious references, or misrepresent sources. All AI-assisted content and references must be verified by the responsible authors.
JEKoBi reserves the right to investigate suspected violations and take appropriate action in accordance with its publication ethics policies. AI-detection results alone shall not constitute definitive evidence of misconduct.
