About the Journal

Journal of Applied Biosciences and Agri-Food Technology (JABAT) is a peer-reviewed scientific journal published by Fakultas Ketahanan Pangan, Universitas Negeri Surabaya as a platform for disseminating high-quality research, review articles, and methodological papers in the fields of applied biosciences and agri-food technology. The journal covers a broad range of topics, including Animal Biosciences, Biotechnology, Food Technology, Aquaculture, and Digital Agribusiness.
JABAT is published biannually in January and July, with the first issue to be published in January 2026. The journal is published in electronic (online) format through the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform and provides open access to all published articles. Manuscripts are accepted in English, and all submissions undergo a double-blind peer-review process to ensure the publication of high-quality and scientifically rigorous research. The journal serves researchers, academics, industry professionals, and policymakers working in biosciences, biotechnology, and agri-food technology.
