About the Journal

The Indonesian Journal of Labor Law and Industrial Relations is a peer-reviewed academic journal that was established by the Faculty of Law, Universitas Negeri Surabaya, with a particular focus on labor law, industrial relations, and industrial relations dispute resolution, both within Indonesia and internationally. IJLLIR published  Online version E-ISSN 3090-8477 . This journal is currently under consideration for inclusion in the Scopus database of academic journals. It is published twice a year, in June and December, and all articles are in English.
The journal is published in English.

The Indonesian Journal of Labor Law and Industrial Relations (IJLLIR), Volume 3, Issue 1, June 2026, presents five scholarly articles that examine contemporary issues in labor law and industrial relations from diverse legal, social, and institutional perspectives. This issue reflects the journal’s commitment to promoting comparative, interdisciplinary, and internationally oriented scholarship on developments in labor and employment law.

A notable feature of this issue is the international diversity of its contributors, with authors representing two countries: Indonesia, Vietnam. The participation of scholars from these jurisdictions provides valuable comparative perspectives on labor rights, employment relations, worker protection, dispute resolution, and emerging challenges in the changing world of work.

The five articles contribute to a broader understanding of how labor law and industrial relations frameworks respond to contemporary economic, social, and regulatory developments. By bringing together perspectives from Southeast Asian jurisdictions, this issue highlights both the common challenges faced by workers and employers and the distinctive legal approaches adopted by each country.

The Indonesian contribution provides insights into labor law and industrial relations within the Indonesian legal and institutional context, while the contributions from Vietnam enrich the discussion through comparative perspectives on employment regulation and worker protection. The cross-border composition of the issue demonstrates the growing importance of regional dialogue and academic collaboration in addressing labor-related challenges.
