Peer Review Process
This VUBETA journal has a double-blind review process, meaning that the name of the reviewer is always kept hidden from the author who submitted the work. Authors must adhere to the principles of academic integrity by presenting their articles with utmost honesty, refraining from any form of fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, or inappropriate manipulation of data. Anonymous referees assess submitted articles based on their contribution, originality, relevance, and presentation. At least two reviewers, who may be members of the Editorial Board or others with comparable expertise in the field, will be assigned to anonymously review the papers. The Editor will promptly notify you of the review outcomes, ideally within a timeframe of 6–8 weeks. The Editors' judgment is conclusive, and no further discussion will be entertained about articles deemed unfit for publication in this journal. Notification of the editors' decision and requests for modifications will be communicated by email.
The process can be described as follows.
Step 1. Initially, an editor conducts a thorough examination of the work that has been submitted. An assessment will be conducted to determine if the submission aligns with the focus and scope of the VUBETA Journal. Additionally, it will be examined for any significant methodological flaws and a similarity score will be generated using Turnitin. The decision is either rejected or approved for a review process.
Step 2. The manuscript will undergo a Double Blind Review process, where it will be evaluated by a minimum of two anonymous reviewers. Reviewers' comments are thereafter forwarded to the associated author for required actions and responses.
Step 3. Subsequently, the editorial team meeting proposed the authors' ultimate determination regarding the amended paper.
Step 4. Ultimately, the Editor will transmit the conclusive verdict to the corresponding author.
Step 5. The text that was approved underwent copyediting and layout editing in order to be prepared as the final version for publication.
