Author Guidelines

Author Guidelines – Lex Favor Reo
1. General Requirements
- Manuscripts submitted must be original work, not previously published or under consideration elsewhere.
- The manuscript must be written in English using Times New Roman, 12 pt font, 1.5 spacing, A4 size, with normal margins.
- Authors whose English is not their first language are encouraged to have their manuscripts professionally proofread.
- Manuscripts should be submitted through the journal’s website: https://journal.unesa.ac.id/index.php/lexfavorreo/index
2. Manuscript Structure
a. Title
- Written in Times New Roman, size 14 pt, bold, and preferably not more than 14 words.
b. Author Information
- Include full names of authors, institutional affiliations, and corresponding author (marked with *) along with their email address.
c. Abstract
- Length: 150–250 words
- Written in Times New Roman, 10 pt, single spacing.
- Should include: Objective, Theoretical Framework, Method, Results and Discussion, Research Implications, and Originality/Value
d. Keywords
- 3–5 words or phrases, separated by semicolons (;)
3. Main Sections
a. Introduction
- Clearly state the issue, provide adequate background, brief literature review, previous research gaps, the objective, and novelty of the study.
b. Research Methods
- (Optional for original research)
- Describe the legal research method used (normative, empirical, socio-legal, etc.) and data sources.
c. Analysis and Discussion
- Present key findings, comparisons with prior research, analysis aligned with the theoretical framework.
- Use tables where necessary and provide sources under each table.
Table Format Example:
Table 1: Title

Source: Author, [Book Title], [Year], [Page]; or: Analysed from primary source.
Long Quotes:
- Quotes longer than four lines should be in 10 pt, single spacing, indented.
d. Conclusion
- Summarize findings and objectives without repeating the abstract.
- Present implications and possible applications of the research.
e. References
- Use Chicago Manual of Style 17th Edition (full note).
- Use reference management software such as Mendeley (preferred), Zotero, or EndNote.
- Include only references that are cited in the manuscript.
- Arrange the reference list alphabetically.
Example Reference Style:

4. Formatting Notes
- Use proper heading hierarchy:
- HEADING
- Sub-Heading
- Sub-Sub Heading
- All figures and tables must be clearly labeled and referenced in the text.
- Ensure all citations match references.
5. Article History
Include the following (to be filled after peer-review):
- Received date
- Accepted date
- Published date
